Description:
- Collaborative efforts throughout the design and modeling process in conjunction with Enginerering and Tooling to document new designs across all Masonite product lines.
- Modify existing drawings and ensure the timely completion of 3D models and drawings accurately, on-time and complete.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions to conduct drafting and design tasks. Possess conceptualization and design skills. Read & follow Blueprints, Work Instructions & Process Guidelines. Ability to multi-task and operate in a collaborative team environment with only minimal supervision.
- Generate accurate 3D models and drawings on-time and complete using Autodesk Inventor and Vault Professional. Responsible for detailing component and assembly drawings, checking for consistency in drawing layout, nomenclature, revision levels, etc.. Utilize 3D printer for engineering prototypes. Performs various levels of Safety Assignments.
Qualification
- Experienced CAD Designer proficient with Autodesk Inventor and Vault Professional.
- Associate Degree or higher in Engineering discipline (mechanical, civil, chemical, or materials engineering, architectural) and relevant work experience.
- 3 years of experience with Autodesk AutoCAD (required), Inventor (required), Vault Professional (required) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Advanced Inventor knowledge strongly preferred (i.e. i-Logic, Vault Administration and general programming knowledge and/or languages).
- A knowledge of 3D printing is a plus.
- A broad technical understanding of all Masonite manufacturing processes and products to understand CAD design requirements.
